Inorganic deodorant KESMON
Novel multi-odor gas adsorbent 「KESMON® NS-60」
In recent years, while the demand for deodorant-treated products has been increasing, conventional deodorants have faced challenges such as insufficient deodorizing performance and limited ability to address diverse odor components. In this study, we have developed a novel multi-odor gas adsorbent, “KESMON® NS-60,” based on metal–organic frameworks (MOFs).
KESMON® NS-60 exhibits high deodorizing performance against a wide range of odor components, including ammonia, acetic acid, aging-related odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and complex odors derived from recycled resins, through a combination of physical adsorption and chemical adsorption mechanisms. In addition, it offers excellent water resistance and heat resistance, as well as good processability for incorporation into fibers and resins, making it applicable to a wide variety of products.
The widespread adoption of this material is expected to contribute to the creation of more comfortable living environments and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
