What is Aron Coat SQ?

Aron Coat SQ is a roof waterproofing membrane that uses an acrylic rubber system with two reactive water-soluble ingredients.
In addition to the features of conventional membrane waterproofing (lightweight and seamless coverage of complex areas), Aron Coat SQ delivers exceptional environmental performance and reliability in a waterproofing material.

Is Aron Coat SQ environment-friendly?

Aron Coat SQ is an environment-friendly waterproofing material.

Water-soluble waterproofing material that does not produce odor or fumes

Aron Coat SQ is a solvent-free water-soluble waterproofing material that consists of Aron SQ Base, a cation-based acrylic rubber emulsion, and Aron SQ Setter, an inorganic curing agent. Aron Coat SQ’s water-soluble composition means it does not emit VOCs into the air. Furthermore, no flame is required, eliminating foul odors and dangerous fumes, and no noise or vibration is caused by the application process.

Eco container that results in less industrial waste

Aron Coat SQ Base uses a containerboard package made mainly from recycled material to help reduce industrial waste.

  1. Aron Coat SQ Base comes in a containerboard package with an inner polyurethane plastic bag with dispenser.
  2. After use, the inner polyurethane plastic bag can be removed and the containerboard recycled.

Waterproofing method that produces less industrial waste

Aron Coat SQ can minimize the removal of existing waterproofing membrane at the time of improvement work.

Can Aron Coat SQ be used on any roof?

Aron Coat SQ can be used on a wide range of roof types and shapes, from pitched roofs to domed roofs, regardless of whether it is a new construction or an improvement project.

Aron Coat SQ’s waterproofing membrane is light weight and has no impact on a building’s load.
Aron Coat SQ weighs less than 5 kg per square meter applied, including general base material treatment, thus minimizing any impact on a building’s load.

What about your R&D system?

Toagosei actively conducts joint research with universities on waterproofing materials and how to extend the longevity of buildings.

As a pioneer in acrylic rubber, Toagosei engages in joint research with universities in Japan and overseas and carries out testing in Hokkaido and Okinawa in order to find ways to extend the longevity of buildings (prevention of freeze damage, salt damage and alkali-aggregate reactions).
