R&D Planning Group of Reseach & Development Administration Department promotes the research and development of new subjects.
The Institute for Advanced Sciences promotes research in bioinformatics based on collaborative work with universities and other corporate laboratory organizations. The institute for advanced sciences performs research and development of functional peptides.
R&D Support Section of General Center of R&D is in charge of investigation and analysis of safety assessment data and new technology information and in charge of trial production of developed products. It improves the productivity of research and development.
The Base Technology Center improves analytical and evaluation technologies and engages in the design of new materials and synthesis of new substances. This center is involved in the improvement of basic technologies essential in research and development.

We are discovering new research ideas in the functional product fields and are focusing on the advancement of next generation products development. In the field of UV curable resins, we are engaged in the research and development of products with high added values such as new oligomers, UV curable monomers "Aronix," "Oxetane," and their compounds.
In the adhesive field, we are developing functional adhesives which meet the customer needs including for instant glue "Aron Alpha" and UV curable, hot melt, and reactive adhesives.
We participated in the Technology Research Association for Advanced Display Materials (TRADIM) and are developing liquid crystal displays from films in collaboration with many companies. We are utilizing materials such as "Aronix" and are taking charge of the adhesive development of various films.
In the field of inorganic functional products, Tsurumi Soda Co., Ltd., a part of the Toagosei Group enterprise, is focusing on further improvement of the quality of high purity products such as liquid hydrogen chloride, caustic soda, caustic potash, and hydrogen chloride and to advance research and development of new products.
Aron Kasei Co., Ltd. is improving the manufacturing technology of synthetic resin molded products and is developing plumbing equipment and materials and everyday products.
