Light curable resin Aronix

Characteristics of Aronix

(1)Environmentally friendly product (solvent free)
Inks and paints are rapidly changing to water-based (emulsion and water soluble systems) and solvent-free (powdered paints and light curable resin) systems. These changes are in response to regulations on solvents (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register: PRTR) and for improving the work environment (odor and flammability). For light curable resins, the system can be completely solvent free. A high-solid system (high solid content) with a small amount of organic solvent and water-soluble light curable resins can be selected depending on the applications.

(2)Energy conservation and speeding up of manufacturing
Light curable resins normally cure by instantaneous exposure to UV light.
A drying time was required in heat-dried paints, which are solvent and water based, and in systems cured by crosslinking of melamine, epoxy, or urethane groups. Such drying time is unnecessary for Aronix. Since a drying oven becomes unnecessary, large energy conservation, improvement in manufacturing (increase in line speed), and downsizing of manufacturing facilities are possible. In addition, Aronix can be used on materials which are not heat resistant.

(3)Wide range of product designs is possible
Various properties of cured products can be designed. The number of reactive groups in a resin molecule can be adjusted, or the type of resins or its skeletal structure can be changed. If the resin has numerous reactive groups in one resin molecule, a highly crosslinked structure can be obtained as the cured product. This highly crosslinked structure results in an increase in the hardness of the coated film and in superior heat resistance and chemical resistant coated films. If resin with one reactive group per resin molecule is mixed, crosslinking density can be decreased, resulting in a flexible coated film.
In addition, reaction proceeds only in areas exposed to light. Therefore, areas which need to be cured can be selectively reacted by masking other areas.
